Chateau la Durantie

Charlotte and Jordan from Chelmsford celebrated their wedding with a week-long stay at Chateau la Durantie and the most incredible wedding day extravaganza EVER!
When we first chatted the couple had requested a ”traditional, relaxed romantic and humourous” ceremony which would set the tone for the rest of their day. And fortunately they were absolutely thrilled with their ceremony, which like all my ceremonies, started with a blank piece of paper, and was created and written especially for them.
The whole event was planned and styled by the very talented Samantha Bottomley of Best Events Co and no expense was spared, or detail overlooked, to ensure that Jordan and Charlotte really did have the fairytale wedding of their dreams.
And of course, it all started with the ceremony…

The Ceremony
Charlotte and Jordan’s wedding ceremony was the result of months of meticulous planning; working with Charlotte both together and individually, and also of working in secret with some of their guests.
What was achieved on the day was a completely bespoke ceremony; which told their unique love story with honesty, warmth and humour. Their entire ceremony, along with some fantastic contributions from friends and family, was delivered as a complete surprise, and Charlotte, Jordan and ALL their assembled guests, were absolutely over the moon with the energy, style and tone of the event.
All the guests laughed and cried in all the rigt places (including even a few of Jordan’s hardy football team mates) and absolutely everyone was swept up in the emotion of what was in the end, a very beautiful and touching ceremony.
So many of the guests approached me after the ceremony to say that it was the best ceremony they’d ever attended, and do you know what, I think it might just have been one of mine too 🙂
