So, a little bit about me. Well, I live between the UK and France. In the UK I’m based on the Fylde coast in Lancashire with my husband and grown up son. I’m originally from Hertfordshire but have lived in Lancashire for over 30 years now (although I’ve never lost my southern accent!). In France I live in an idyllic setting, in a 200 year old farmhouse in the south Charente where I’m based all summer.
My background has mainly been in teaching within the Adult Education sector. Over a 20 year career I’ve taught for a youth training organisation, for various FE colleges and for a local university; however, the majority of my teaching career was spent working within the prison service. I also set up and ran my own business, an activity and social club, where I organised a vast social calendar for members. My working life so far has brought me into contact with people from all walks of life and I love meeting new people and taking on new challenges.
I already had some experience of using the services of a celebrant as my husband and I were married in France in 2011; a fabulous occasion where we, and our friends and families, enjoyed a unique wedding celebration in the grounds of an ancient chateau. Over the years, I had also written funeral eulogies for family members which were very well received and had organised and led many other successful celebrations for friends, family and clients.
I embarked on two courses offered by Civil Ceremonies Ltd; the leading celebrant training organisation in the country.
Over the course of the following few months of study and rigorous assessment, I successfully gained the highest level of qualification available in the UK.

I am able to offer unique Funeral Services, Wedding Celebration Ceremonies, Civil Partnership Celebrations, Baby Naming Ceremonies and Renewal of Vows Ceremonies.
I absolutely love my job and I gain a great deal of satisfaction from working with new people; providing a relaxed, friendly, sensitive and professional service. Each family I work with is unique and have very different requirements.
