Domaine de la Fauconnie

Georgie and Ben, from Baildon in Yorkshire, celebrated their wedding at the gorgeous Domaine de la Fauconnie near Bergerac, on what was without doubt, THEE hottest day of the summer!
They’d requested a ceremony which contained all the traditional elements, which they and their guests woud be familiar with – but one which also reflected their personalities, with an element of ‘playfulness and cheekiness’. Hmmm…
We first met in Lancashire in the depths of winter; when I was able to start to get to know them both better, understand their unique love story and start to hatch a plan to create a ceremony which would deliver everything they wanted, whilst still reflecting their individuality and characters. From the very first contact, through to all the correspondence over the coming months, working with Georgie and Ben was an absolute joy!
And I couldn’t be happier that they (and their wonderful guests) loved their ceremony so much!! They were delighted, but don’t take my word for it, check out their incredible photos!

Wow Wow Wow 
What a pleasure it was working with Lisa!
From the start we knew that we didn’t want a religious ceremony but we didn’t quite know what other styles there was available. Lisa talked us through the different styles, content and feel we could have but mainly that whatever we wanted she could make it happen. She really did deliver too!
We knew it was going to be amazing but she really blew us away with how she delivered it and really understood the feel that we wanted it. Romantic but also light hearted and fun. Every word said was about us and our quirks as a couple, which we both loved.
Our guests had never been to a ceremony like ours so it was amazing to hear Lisa overwhelmed with compliments when she joined us for champagne after the ceremony.
She genuinely wants to know you as a couple to be able to deliver the best ceremony for you both. Her passion for her job radiates in her ceremonies. An absolute pleasure to work with. It was 100% my favourite part of the wedding day

The Ceremony
Georgie and Ben’s wedding ceremony was both a delight to compose and a pleasure to deliver. We created a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere (just as the couple had requested) where all the guests felt included and engaged.
I worked in secret with two guests who were to deliver readings, and the entire ceremony was delivered as a surprise on the day to the bride and groom.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as their beautiful (and highly entertaining) story unfolded and I was able to talk candidly about their wonderful love for one another, and what getting married meant to each of them. I had worked with them individually over several months, so I was able to share some private details of their relationship which either had their guests reaching for tissues or howling with laughter. It was definitely a rollercoaster of emotion!
Georgie and Ben’s was a ceremony which was absolutely brimming with personal elements and culminated with them literally ‘tying the knot’ with some beautiful bespoke handfasting ribbons.
The ceremony really did set the tone for the rest of the day and I was delighted to hear, (as I do from so many couples), that their expectations had been exceeded and that their ceremony was the favourite part of their big day.

I REALLY can’t praise Lydia’s work highly enough. Not only is she the loveliest person you are EVER likely to meet but she is also the most talented photographer I have come across to date.
