Jenna and Brendan from Gloucester literally “Tied the Knot” at Chateau la Durantie in June 2018.
My brief was that they’d asked for a relaxed ceremony with some humour. They said they wanted the ceremony to contain an underlying romantic message (nothing too cheesy though) but above all they wanted lots of laughter – no pressure there then!

From our very first communication, this couple were an absolute joy to work with. And through our many Skype calls and emails, I managed to collect enough material to ensure that the ceremony was exactly what they had asked for. Overall, the tone was very romantic and sincere, but it was also very funny in parts – even if I do say so myself!

The ceremony included a wonderful poem which had been written as a surprise for the occasion, a hand blessing and a handfasting. It was all fully bespoke and all written to completely encapsulate the essence of their very special relationship. J & B also win the prize for the category of “Most emotional wedding vow delivery 2018!”

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Halliday, I hope you enjoy the most fabulous future together.

”Lisa, thank you so much for being our celebrant in France last month. You created the perfect ceremony script for us, which was made even better by the fact that it was basically kept a secret from us until the actual ceremony!

There was so much laughter and happy tears, in fact I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many male guests wiping their eyes at a wedding before!! It was so personal to us and it felt like it was being delivered by a long-term family friend.
