Danny & Marie’s Wedding

Unique ceremonies for all occasions

Chateau La Gauterie

23rd June 2018

Danny and Marie, who live in Hong Kong, arranged their destination wedding to be held at the beautiful Chateau la Gauterie in the Dordogne in late June 2018.

The brief for the ceremony was that they wanted it to be traditional, semi-religious, romantic, relaxed and to involve some of their guests.

The ceremony itself took place in the beautiful chapel at the chateau and, as was befitting their request for a semi-religious feel, we included a unity candle ceremony. Danny and Marie shared personal vows and were encouraged to include other elements to ensure that theirs was indeed a super-personal and romantic ceremony. There were readings from family and friends which were well chosen and beautifully delivered and we also included a hand blessing, where everybody in the chapel held hands to help share the love! It really was a very emotional ceremony which achieved, and hopefully exceeded, the brief that was set.

The feedback from guests was immediate and overwhelming. It seems that everybody present very much enjoyed the ceremony – so much so that several couples talked to me about conducting ceremonies for them!

I loved every minute of working with Danny and Marie and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness xx

A few words from the bride…

‘’We have just returned from our honeymoon and had a fantastic time. We still have such wonderful memories from our time at the Chateau and are still receiving lots of great comments about the service. We are so happy with how it went and can honestly say it was exactly what we wanted and we could not have wished for anything else.

Thanks once again and I am sure you will be fully booked for years to come after the positive word of mouth you will get from your ceremonies.

Love Marie and Danny xx’’

…and from the Groom…

‘A huge thank you for being our Celebrant in Bordeaux just a few weeks ago.
It truly was the most memorable day and the ceremony was absolutely perfect. It was exactly what we wanted and was so personal and romantic. We had so many people come to us with positive comments and many of them saying it was the best wedding ceremony they had ever been to.

We would also like to say thank you for spending the time getting to know us and guiding us through the process. It can be daunting and you put both of us at ease throughout every stage. I have to say that your advice on having a rehearsal was absolutely spot on as well, and I am so glad that we covered the finer details off before the big day.

I could not recommend you highly enough and we are so pleased that you were such a big part of our special day.

Love Danny and Marie xx”

…and from wedding guest, Laura

‘’Lisa played a large part in creating the most romantic wedding I have ever attended!

She really managed the flow of the ceremony, balancing a little humour, a little reflection on how important the day is, and some wonderful tender moments.
Not a dry eye in the room!
