Carys and Ross’ Wedding

Unique ceremonies for all occasions

Chateau la Durantie

25th May 2019

Huge congratulations to the gorgeous Carys and Ross from London who celebrated their wedding at this stunning venue, surrounded by 50 of their friends and family.

These two were, quite simply, one of the loveliest couples I’ve EVER had the pleasure to work with! And their wedding was a wonderful way to kick off my 2019 wedding season.

They enjoyed a truly awesome day; a celebration which truly reflected their unique relationship, their individual personalities and of course their love for one another.

What the groom had to say…

‘’We had the best day – it by far exceeded our expectations, and the ceremony was one of the highlights for us and many of our guests.

You absolutely nailed the brief – it had just the right balance of humour, interest and romance, but wasn’t soppy at all. We can’t thank you enough.’’

And a few words from the bride…

‘Lisa was absolutely amazing as our wedding celebrant!

Her support and planning ahead of the ceremony was invaluable and really shone through on the day. Lisa took the time to get to know us, both as a couple and individually, to help create the perfect ceremony.

Lisa listened to our brief very carefully, and adapted the structure and style of the ceremony to suit our needs. She also made lots of great suggestions about how to make our ceremony individual and enjoyable for our guests.

So many of our guests have commented on how good both the ceremony and Lisa were. We cannot thank her enough!’’

The Ceremony

The couple’s brief was quite precise; they wanted ‘Something relaxed, but intimate. Light-hearted, but not too cheesy. With just the right amount of emotion, but not too soppy!’ And they definitely didn’t want me to make them cry! Quite a tall order then…

But as I got to know Carys and Ross better over the months leading up to the wedding, I started to understand their relationship more and what sort of characters they were – and their ceremony naturallly evolved into becoming EXACTLY what they’d asked for.

It was a ceremony full of fun and humour, but at its very core it told the beautiful story of these two lovely people who had met at school and had been together for more than eleven years.

And what shone through more than anything was that Carys and Ross really are meant to be!
