Sarah and Alex’s Wedding

Unique ceremonies for all occasions

Chateau Clerbise

21st June 2019

Sarah and Alex from Leeds, booked the wonderful Chateau Clerbise to hold their wedding celebrations – and it didn’t disappoint!

They enjoyed a fabulous week-long stay with all their friends and family and then on the Friday had their wedding day; a wonderful celebration of their love for each other and for their little girl Sophie, who was very much a part of their wedding ceremony – in fact, it’s fair to say, she stole the show!

Some feedback from Sarah and Alex…

‘Lisa worked with us on our wedding in Pons, France recently and she was amazing!

She made a huge effort to get to know us and met up with us twice in France and the UK. She learnt about our past and how we met to create the most amazing, personalised wedding ceremony.

From start to finish Lisa was attentive and went the extra mile with the venue and giving us more ideas from her own experiences, even finding us an amazing photographer through her network.

We can’t thank Lisa enough for making our day so wonderful. All our guests said how perfect the ceremony was and it was the perfect mix between funny, heartfelt and personal.

Thank you Lisa!’

The Ceremony

Sarah and Alex’s brief was that they’d like their wedding ceremony to be ‘personal, relaxed, non-religious, fun and playful’. And they also wanted to include their 22-month-old daughter and all their guests in a meaningful way too.

Over a period of several months I got to know Sarah and Alex better and through several meetings in both France and the UK, I started to understand their relationship and also what was important to them.
Their bespoke ceremony told the story of their whirlwind romance; which had taken them from Tinder to parenthood in just two years! It was very funny in places, but it was also a story of genuine sincerity, love and romance.

We included a love letters and wine box ceremony at the end, and all their guests came forward one by one to place a letter for the couple into what has become a time capsule of love, to be opened on their 5th wedding anniversary.

They then literally tied the knot, with one of their handfasting ribbons being tied to symbolise the love that they have for their daughter and the importance of their little family.

It was a beautiful, relaxed but very meaningful ceremony, where all the guests felt very included, and which had everybody laughing and crying all the right places!
