Clare and Gareth’s Wedding

Unique ceremonies for all occasions

Domaine du Meunier

29th June 2019

Clare and Gareth from Yorkshire enjoyed the most wonderful, most colourful and most fabulous wedding at the incredible Domaine du Meunier, with a day that was absolutely jam-packed full of personality and fun!

Domaine du Meunier already had history for Clare and Gareth and so it was a natural choice of venue for their wedding celebrations. It’s a wacky, informal venue, with an eclectic mix of paraphernalia; not least a fully working carousel which the couple got married on!

Their guests enjoyed an extra surprise when it was revealed later that this venue is home to the World Pinball Championships – and so before dinner, everybody got to play on machines that make up the largest collection of pinball machines in the world!

It was definitely a day full of surprises; and a day that very much reflected, from start to finish, the fun and character of Clare and Gareth’s relationship.

It was an absolute joy getting to know this fabulous couple and helping them to realise their dream wedding in such a quirky and thouroughly entertaining setting!

Some wonderful feedback from the bride and groom..

”Now that we have recovered from the celebrations at our wedding and returned from our honeymoon, we wanted to drop you a note to express our gratitude to you for making our wedding day so special.

We were genuinely overjoyed with the service which was sincere, funny, emotional and above all thoroughly enjoyable. All our family and friends said it was the best wedding they had ever been to and whilst we made the event quite unique because of the venue, you were a huge part of the success story.

We both really liked how you took time to plan the service and helped us to run through the running order, timings and the involvement of our guests. The rehearsal the night before proved to be hugely beneficial , as on the day everything was perfect!

Finally thank you for spending time with us before the wedding, you really managed to convey our story in a personal manner, everyone thought we had known each other much longer than we have!
Thanks again, we couldn’t recommend you highly enough.

Clare and Gareth xx”

The Ceremony

Clare and Gareth’s original brief was that they wanted a ‘celebration that was both fun and relaxed’. Once they’d completed their wedding questionnaire, I first met with them in Lancashire to discusss the details and start to get to know them both better.

I worked with them both togther and then separately so we could include lots of heartfelt surprise elements and I also worked with their readers to ensure their contrbutions were also a surprise on the day.

The ceremony space had been hand decorated beautifully with multi-coloured paper flowers. We had the most adorable gender neutral flower people, fabulous bridesmaids, and readings which reflected the humourous tone of the day.

Their story was told in a relaxed and informal style and the couple exchanged personal vows which were both sincere and hilarious! We had their fabulous ‘Best Dog’ in attendance, and the couple finally ‘tied the knot’ using climbing rope – and we did the whle thing on a fairground carousel!

Clare and Gareth’s ceremony was indeed a joyful celebration of their love, which was personal, fun and relaxed from start to finish – just what they’d asked for!
